Baked ziti

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or olive oil

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the ziti pasta according to the package instructions until al dente

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes

Add the ground Italian sausage or ground beef to the skillet with the onion and garlic. Cook, breaking up the meat with a spoon

Pour the marinara sauce into the skillet with the cooked meat mixture. Stir in the dried oregano and dried basil

Add the cooked ziti pasta to the skillet with the sauce, stirring until the pasta is evenly coated.

Add the remaining saucy pasta mixture on top of the cheese layer. Sprinkle the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
